Floating Dreams, A Unique Sky-Frame Project

Over the last year we have written a couple posts about a unique project that Old Town Glass has been working on.   It is a visionary structure in Sausalito, that is really a floating home.  With Swiss and US design that combines European and Domestic construction materials the finished project is stunning.

This gallery contains recent photos of the finished project.

The above photos of the finished project showcase some of the glass  work and products that Old Town Glass offers.   Sky-Frame Windows and Doors, from Switzerland.  Custom 27/32″ Sentry Glass Deck Railings with CR Laurence Base Shoe, FSB Hardware on Interior and Exterior Doors,  Hafele Door Hardware from Switzerland, and custom designed shower enclosures using CRL’s Cabo Series Sliding Shower hardware.

The project was constructed by Sausalito Construction on a concrete hull poured in Sausalito by Aquamaison.  A majority of the construction was done on a commercial working dock in Richmond and then the Floating Home was towed back across the SF Bay.   Here are some photos of the transfer back to Sausalito.

The Floating Dreams project used glass railings and glass gates with the Zinc siding.   Here are a couple photos of the railings and gate hardware.
