With recent changes in energy codes and the desire to make fenestration products more energy efficient, butt joint and mitre corner windows are becoming less common. Most customers assume that having double pane glass in a corner window assembly means a large post and a lot of space between the glass. Fortunately there are a number of options on the market in both aluminum and aluminum clad wood windows that offer clean, contemporary lines.

The previous photos show options for insulated (double pane) glass. The options below are single pane with 1/2″ tempered glass.
