This week we spent two days installing a Marvin Lift and Slide Door on a project in Northern California. This particular door is a 24 Foot by 10 Foot OXXO or by parting stacking door system. The door and frame are pine interior and exterior with Marvin’s standard brick mold casing. The door features a recessed sill without drainage. The home that this door is being installed in has Marvin Windows and Door throughout.
Phase 2 of the installation will occur next week, when final adjustments will be made and the recessed track will be filled with a low weight non shrink concrete. The concrete will provide complete support under the Marvin Lift and Slide door unit.
A combination of Grace Vycor Pro and Fast Flash from Prosoco was used during the installation to flash the door frame.
