Skylights: Velux, Curb Mount, Custom Steel and Fire Rated Skylights

Old Town Glass supplies, installs, and repairs skylights. Our skylight products range from off the shelf Velux skylights, standard curb mount aluminum framed skylights, to custom aluminum or steel skylights.

We use a number of different skylight manufacturers, based on our customer’s design requirements and performance requirements.   We encourage you to visit our showroom for more information on the skylight products we carry.  Our showroom and shop have various skylights installed within the building, so you can see daylighting products in a real world installation.

Velux Skylights

Velux is the industry standard residential and commercial skylights. No other manufacturer can beat Velux’s electric operable skylight system that is available with integrated blinds, exterior sun shades, and screens.  We offer the complete Velux product line, including the Velux Sun Tunnel.

Our showroom has Velux displays along with Six Velux Skylights installed in the ceiling.  The working displays features curb mount in both operable and fixed configurations. 

Curb Mount Aluminum Skylights

The most common skylight on the market is a aluminum skylights for curb mount applications. These skylights are offered in four standard configurations.  These include flat glass in both fixed and operable, double dome in both fixed an operable. Photos of each type are shown below. In addition to the four standard configurations, there are a number of special shapes and sizes available both in double dome and flat glass.  These include hexagon, ridge skylight that follow the peak of a roof, triangle, etc.
